“La vita dura un attimo”
Every morning I liked to go to the beach at sunrise to enjoy the atmosphere of those moments.
Suddenly, a peremptory call came to me: the smell of freshly baked croissants.
Heading toward the Cape the pleasure of paddling through the crystal-clear sea had begun.
After a few hours, spent there with frequent swims in the sea, we would turn back.
We had the feeling that we had accomplished a small feat, a navigation.
Time for a refreshing shower and it was time for lunch.
The cooks would spy to see us coming and bring breadsticks of freshly baked bread, accompanied by olive oil and nduja.
In the afternoon, rest, reading, and then back to the sea in the evening.
Each evening, to watch the sun set, we would sit at a table set on a raised terrace adjoining the beach.
From that position we could admire the conclusion of the Sun Chariot's journey. Before plunging, it colored the sky below pink, descending down slowly and then suddenly disappearing.
A moment before it disappeared, it would emit a green ray.
Many people would stop on the beach to see it, but not everyone could, because only those with a generous heart could do so.
